Getting ready for go-live – favourites and Access Fairs
July 15, 2019
Changing the way you work is never easy but it’s been good to see so many people embracing the benefits of Unity. As an Informatics Nurse, over the last few weeks I’ve been busy supporting colleagues to set up their favourites and get ready for go-live.
Following on from the success of the Favourite Fairs, several areas took advantage of the opportunity to invite the Unity team in to help staff set up their favourites. These satellite sessions were held on different wards and departments across the Trust.
This was particularly useful for theatres across both hospital sites. Theatre staff had originally found it difficult to leave the department to attend Favourite Fairs, so we went to them instead. As a result many of the theatre staff have now had the opportunity to set up their favourites, which will make a big difference come September.
In total 120 staff configured and set up their individual favourites as part of these satellite sessions, making Unity much quicker and easier for them to use once it goes live.
Don’t worry if you didn’t get an opportunity to set up your favourites. This won’t stop you from using Unity and you still will be able to set them up when the system goes live. In preparation you can read the Favourite and Configuration QRGs and practise on the play system. Digital champions and super users will also be available to support you.
Ahead of going live with Unity, it’s essential that all colleagues who will need to use the system have access to it. Therefore we will be running Access Fairs across the Trust from 2-15 September. Please look out for further information in the communications bulletin and on Connect over the coming weeks.
