Waiting List Initiative Payments
February 19, 2018
As part of the ongoing drive to review costs across the organisation, the payroll team are working to reduce the number of waiting list initiatives being carried out each year, through robust job planning and management of planned activity. They are also reviewing the amount being paid for these lists to reduce costs and also to ensure a more consistent approach across all groups and teams – be they additional outpatient clinics or theatre lists etc.
Therefore, with effect from 1 March, the arrangements for waiting list initiative lists will change for all non-medical colleagues.
All professionally registered colleagues – such as staff nurses, ODPs, radiographers etc. – will continue to receive the £100 payment for each approved four hour list worked.
For lists which are three hours or less the rate will be £75 for the session.
All un-registered colleagues such as healthcare assistants, admin, technicians etc. – will be booked via the Trust bank for any additional lists and will be paid at the standard bank rates which are available on Connect.
Any rates currently paid above £100 to registered colleagues will cease with effect from 1 March and those carrying out work on additional lists will receive the flat payment of £100.
If you have any queries or concerns about this please contact your group senior management team in the first instance.
