Urgent IT security update scheduled for 400+ Trust computers – Alerts being issued to affected machines – User action required

Colleagues using outdated versions of Windows will shortly be receiving a pop-up message as shown below urging them to contact IT for an urgent update to be applied to their computer. This message must not be ignored.

Colleagues who receive this message must contact the IT ServiceDesk on ext. 4050 immediately to book in their laptop or desktop to be updated. Colleagues who fail to notify the IT service desk will find their devices become disabled and locked out of all Trust services.

Managers are urged to ensure all desktop and laptop devices in departments are checked to ensure they are up to date and not displaying the green service notice.
