Unsure where to park at MMUH?
October 10, 2024
If you are driving to work, you’ll park in the colleague car park on level 1. It is accessed from London Street, Smethwick, B66 2SH, just behind the hospital off Grove Lane.
When you arrive, you’ll find colleague parking on level 1 (with some overspill on level 0) with lifts connecting you straight into the hospital.
There are separate designated disabled parking spaces available for colleagues and visitors.
If you already have a Q-Park parking pass, you can use it at Midland Met. You do not need to make any changes, just drive in, tap your pass and you’re good to go.
We also have 30 electric car charging stations on level 0 and level 1. To use these charging points, register at www.cpsgenie.com.
Important things to be aware of:
Colleagues can use any of the public or clinical lift cores to move around Midland Met. Each public lift core has its own colour:
A – Purple
B – Orange
C – Yellow
D – Blue
E – Lime green
The public lift cores are coloured to help you make your way into the hospital. Lift cores A – C are at the front of the hospital (South) and D/E are located at the back of the hospital (North).
To easily find your car, please note which lift core you use. Each lift also displays a sign showing which core you’re in and what departments or wards you can reach using it.
On level 5 in the Winter Garden, you will also find maps showing what lift core you are closest to.
