Time to Par-Tea! It’s the 73rd Birthday of the NHS – Join in with the Big Tea!
July 5, 2021
Today is the NHS’s birthday – 73 years ago today Nye Bevan launched the National Health Service and for the first time ever, people were able to access healthcare from cradle to grave, free at the point of use.
Today we mark a national celebration of you – our amazing NHS staff – ordinary, yet extraordinary people who continue to go above and beyond for us and our loved ones. Join us as we celebrate this momentous occasion by pouring out our love, thanks, joy and reflection, and by all taking part in the nation’s biggest Tea Party!
How to get involved:
Simply organise your tea party and once you’ve all had your fill of tea and cake, remember to donate by texting NHSBDAY to 70085 to donate £1. Texts cost £1 plus one standard rate message.
All funds raised will go towards making our brand new Midland Met more than just a hospital
