Star of the Week – Jagdeep Samra

Our Star of the Week this week is Jagdeep Samra, Medical Education Coordinator.

Jagdeep has worked exceptionally hard during her first year within the medical education department. This week her hard work and effort have been recognised in the outstanding organisation, administration and delivery of the fourth year Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for 40 students from the University of Birmingham. Planning and directing an OSCE is no easy feat and Jagdeep has done a marvellous job in ensuring that proceedings have run smoothly and without delay.

Jagdeep is also recognised for using her own initiative to support a student who had suffered a significant health scare. She made an effort to keep in touch with the student during her placement and at the end of the placement the student wrote to her to say that she couldn’t thank her enough for the support and kindness she had offered to her and how this had affected her positively and made her feel supported and listened to on placement. She said that she had felt very supported at SWB.
