PC Desktop Issue – Planned Fix

Informatics has put in place a fix to the PC desktop performance issue for the first 1,000 staff. This involves copying your desktop to a new server. The plan is to roll it out as follows:

  • Wednesday evening – 1,500 staff
  • Thursday evening – 1,500 staff
  • Friday evening – 1,500 staff
  • Monday evening – remaining staff

You may find that the first time you login is slow but it should speed up after that. Generic accounts (i.e. those not in your name) are unaffected by the issue.
