Paula Gardner: A month in the Trust

Our new Chief Nurse, Paula Gardner has been familiarising herself with our hospitals over the past month – meeting many of our clinical colleagues across the various wards throughout the organisation.

From critical care services at City, to wards at Sandwell, our Chief Nurse has been introducing herself to our clinical colleagues across the various wards throughout the organisation.

Paula is thrilled to have joined Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, she said: “I’m delighted to have joined such a successful Trust!”

“Having only spent limited time on the wards and departments, I can see at a glance all the fantastic work which is being carried out by our clinical and non-clinical staff which is paramount in making sure all of patients across region receive the highest standard of quality care.

“I’m very much looking forward to the challenge ahead and feel proud to serve the 530,000 local people from across West Birmingham and all the towns within Sandwell.”
