Pathology soft activation at Midland Met

Earlier this week, the soft activation process began at Midland Met with our Pathology department getting its first clinical clean.

This week will see the delivery of some more equipment for the pathology lab and the arrival of our major incident wet decontamination unit.

This is a huge milestone for SWB, as the Ward Service Officers involved in the deep clean were the first Trust colleagues to complete hospital-related works at the new site.

The deep clean sets the stage for the installation of the pathology lab analysers which will ensure the department is ready for the opening of the new hospital later this year.
