Are you checking expiry dates of blood culture bottles?

We must remind colleagues to check the expiry dates of blood culture bottles to ensure they are in date (see image below).

Please do not use expired bottles as they cannot be processed by microbiology. If your bottles have expired please discard immediately and order replacements through your normal channels.

Expired blood culture bottles must not be used.
