Have your say on plans to tackle anti-social behaviour in West Bromwich

March 15, 2018

We’re urging all within the Trust to have their say on new proposals to prevent and tackle anti-social behaviour in West Bromwich town centre.

The local council are looking to introduce a PSPO (public spaces protection order).

Among activities that could be covered by the proposed PSPO for West Bromwich town centre are alcohol-related violence and anti-social behaviour, threatening and intimidating behaviour and violence in a public place.

The PSPO would give the police and council extra powers to prevent and tackle anti-social behaviour in the town centre.

PSPOs can be used to ban behaviour or activities that are causing concern in an area.

The PSPO would be used in addition to existing council and police powers. It would also complement existing PSPO orders in place in Sandwell.

For more information and to have your say, visit Sandwell Council’s consultation page.

The consultation will close on 18 April 2018.
