Happy retirement Christine!

Last Friday Christine Johnson retired from her position within the Gynaecology team, Christine started her journey in health care when she was very young.  Her first job was working on the wards at the Neurosurgery Hospital in Smethwick.

Christine joined what would have been just Sandwell Hospital as a HCA and worked in this position for a number of years before being appointed 14 years ago as admin clerk to the Obstetric and Gynaecology secretaries at Sandwell Hospital.

When City and Sandwell Hospitals merged Christine eventually come over to City Hospital and has worked in her current role as Admin Clerk to the Gynaecology and Gynae-oncology secretaries for a number of years.

Christine will be a greatly missed, she was a vital member of the team who kept things “ticking over” in a very busy department. Christine will be extremely missed by her secretarial and management colleagues as well as the Consultant team as Christine was part of the Gynaecology family.
