Get involved with the Midland Met learning campus consultation
June 27, 2023
The proposed Midland Metropolitan Learning Campus is an exciting new project that is set to provide a major new education and skills resource for the Sandwell and West Birmingham community. The facility will be built on the site of the new Midland Metropolitan University Hospital and will offer training from entry-level to L7 skills. The project is aimed at widening participation in education, as well as targeting hard-to- reach groups, and will be a vital resource for the local community.
As a member of staff, you are encouraged to take part in the consultation process for the new Learning Campus. This is your opportunity to have your say on the design, layout and facilities of this exciting new development. Your input will help to ensure that the facility meets the needs of the local community and provides the highest quality educational experience possible.
The Learning Campus will be a community landmark and the heart of the community. It will provide a welcoming public realm that is accessible to all and will support health and wellbeing. The building itself will be of high quality, robust and sustainable, designed to be flexible, adaptable and future-proof. It will be cost and operationally effective, ensuring that it is a valuable resource for the local community for years to come.
The Learning Campus is a collaboration between Sandwell & West Birmingham Trust, Sandwell Council, Sandwell College, Aston University and the University of Wolverhampton. This is an excellent opportunity for the local community to come together and create a valuable resource that will benefit everyone.
This is an exciting time for the Sandwell West Birmingham community, and we encourage all colleagues to take part in the consultation process.
