Diabetes and heart failure (HF) are both global epidemics with tremendous costs on society with increased rates of HF hospitalisation’s and worsened prognosis when co-existing, making it a significant “deadly duo.”

In this session, we will have an overview of heart failure and diabetes. Review the latest evidence and look at why certain T2D medications are now licensed for the management of heart failure. In light of these changes which patients can now be managed in primary care. Also how best to manage them and when is it appropriate to refer.
