Click and Collect lunches available at City Hospital
January 24, 2018
With the New Year comes resolutions for eating healthier and making better food choices, and this year our catering team are making it easier to do that, thanks to the introduction of a fabulous new app and tasty menu.
From Wednesday 24 January, colleagues at City Hospital will be able to preorder and pay for their lunches using a mobile phone app. The new ‘Eat Well’ app makes it easier than ever to click and collect a healthy meal at your convenience.
Jane Owen, Trust Catering Manager explained: “Our new menu range available through our click and collect service (accessed through a dedicated smartphone app) has healthier options highlighted in green on our click and collect menus making them CQUIN compliant at 400 calories or less and not exceeding 5.0g saturated fat per 100gms. Items range from houmous with celery and carrot sticks for a quick healthy snack, to fresh fruit pots, protein pots, sushi and pasta salads, tortilla wraps, artisan baguettes, salads and choices for vegetarians, vegans, and those who want gluten free and halal options.
“The new service means that you can order and pay for your food then collect at your chosen time, meaning you beat the queues in busy periods. The service is launching at City site initially, but will extend to Sandwell following the refurbishment of the Hallam restaurant. The collection point will be on the ground floor main corridor near to Coffee Culture.
Colleagues can download the app from the Apple App Store and the Google Playstore by searching for ‘Eat Well’.
