Don’t miss the tissue viability roadshow today at City D18

Come and learn about the new pressure ulcer categories ‘deep tissue injury’ and ‘unstageable’ at the pressure roadshow at City Hospital, D18 today.

Pressure ulcers can be painful and distressing for patients and they are largely preventable. Nationwide, we are still seeing more than 1300 new pressure ulcers a month and treating pressure ulcers costs the NHS approx. £1.4 million every day.

Accuracy in pressure ulcer categorising is vital.

Here is the training timetable for the rest of the week:

• Tuesday – Roadshow at City- D18 and City ward training
• Wednesday – Roadshow at Sandwell reception, ward training at Leasowes and Rowley.
• Thursday – Sandwell ward training
• Friday – City ward training

Note: All clinical colleagues are encouraged to access a training sessions to ensure they are aware of the changes.
