Unity Benefits

Unity will provide the following main benefits for the Trust:

• Less fragmented clinical records as most information will be in Unity, not a variety of IT systems and paper records.
• A reduced number of IT applications to sign into.
• Electronic prescribing and medication administration – which has both safety and cost benefits.

Rather than trying to capture a wide range of benefits, the Trust will focus on those that really matter – improving the quality and safety of care balanced with cost improvement. The document below describes the benefits we will focus on. This will be developed so that each benefit has an action plan that maps with Trust 2020 Vision priorities.
