Major universities visit Midland Met

On Tuesday 21 January we welcomed universities from across the region for a tour of our new hospital.

With ‘university’ in its official name, Midland Metropolitan University Hospital is already associated with four major universities in the area. These are the University of Birmingham, Birmingham City University, Aston University and Wolverhampton University, who all had lecturers and other representatives in attendance. Additionally, we were glad to welcome members from Birmingham Newman University, University of Worcester and University College Birmingham, who had been excited to see the hospital for many months.

Education Lead Nurse, Theresa Morris, commented: “Many of the universities in the area have been very excited in the lead up to opening and afterwards too. We’ve had so many questions and such a buzz around moving. The coverage on our social media channels and in the news has been fantastic. It was lovely for some of our nursing students to join the tour too, alongside their universities.”
