Fundamentals of Care Dashboard
September 30, 2024
Our new Fundamentals of Care Dashboard is now available for colleagues to use to access key performance data and quality metrics down to ward level.
You can access the dashboard here – FOC Dashboard – Power BI
The dashboard will enable you to view a suite of Fundamentals of Care metrics at both Trust level, and also at ward level by using the drop down menu to select your ward from the list. This will enable you to see, at a glance, current performance for your area against a set of standards with targets. Via the Programme and the FoC Workstreams, Stakeholders agreed what additional measures would add value to measuring quality along with the current Trust Board Measures already tracked.
The front page shows a snapshot of current performance with the most recent data displayed on tiles. In addition to this snapshot, there are a set of tabs down the left hand side which show the information in a run chart (SPC chart) format so you can see performance over a longer period of time, which will help to identify any emerging themes or trends. Each chart has a help icon (question mark in a circle) which provides the definition of the dataset and there is also a useful tool to help you interpret special cause or normal variation. These charts can also be enlarged and copied for use in other reports or documents.
The next steps for the dashboard are to include additional metrics for specialist areas, such as Women & Child Health, and Community Services; and also to provide the data at a Clinical Group and Directorate level.
