Our fab new labs! – We celebrate the new Midland Met Cath lab installation

Recently, our brand new, state-of-the-art cath labs were installed at Midland Met.

We’ve captured some fantastic behind the scenes footage of the team during the installation process.

Following this, we spoke to Director of Research and Development and Consultant Cardiologist – Professor Derek Connolly, about the positive impact the new cath labs will have on patient care after we move to our new hospital.

Professor Connolly commented: “Currently, it takes a long time to get from City to the cath labs and even longer coming from Sandwell. However, at Midland Met departments are much closer together, making it easier to treat patients more quickly.”
