Have you visited Abundance yet?

If you’ve been to City Hospital recently you may have noticed our new garden space at the front of the Birmingham Treatment Centre (BTC).

Abundance launched in June after being commissioned to celebrate the Birmingham Commonwealth Games; and it celebrates nature in all its glory. Sunflowers, shrubs and plants have been spread around in planters made from recycled materials to encourage everyone to engage with the great outdoors.

The inclusive garden play area has been designed for children and adults alike to enjoy a moment of calm amid the hustle and bustle of daily life in Birmingham.

Every Tuesday from now until September, there will be artists in residence on site at City to showcase their skills and everyone is invited to take part. This is what’s coming up next:

  • Tuesday 2 August, 10am – 4pm – join Artist in Residence, Louise to create decorations for the Abundance site.
  • Saturday 6 August, 11.30am – 2pm – you can enjoy the inclusive disco picnic. Why not take your lunch and enjoy DJ Tom spinning some tunes?
