Star Awards 2022: Patient Safety Award

Do you know an individual or team who has exhibited best practice in providing safe care, who has openly raised awareness of safety issues, championed transparency or introduced new ways of working to a service or treatment that has improved patient safety?

Last year’s winners of this prestigious award was the Breast Screening Team. At the time, the team were the only service nationally to implement the hybrid open invitation system which resulted in maintaining uptake close to pre-COVID levels where nationally there was a massive decline. They have hundreds of patients and client contacts on weekly basis where they ensure they provide a safe service in line with Trust values.
