Daren Fradgley appointed to substantive Chief Integration Officer position
February 1, 2022
Following an external recruitment process, the Trust has appointed Daren Fradgley into the Chief Integration Officer position. This new post will lead on the place-based partnership arrangements for Sandwell and West Birmingham, enhancing our partnerships with statutory organisations including the local authority, primary care, other NHS organisations and the community and voluntary sector. Daren will also lead all the primary care and community services in the Trust.
Daren joined the Trust on an interim secondment basis in October 2021. He was previously at Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust where in the last two years he was deputy chief executive and then acting chief executive. At Walsall he developed Walsall Together, the place-based care model which is responsible for the smooth running of all out of hospital health services under a single management team. Daren is a trained paramedic who still practices today, with a clinical specialty in admission avoidance.
Richard Beeken, Chief Executive, said: “I am delighted that Daren was successful through the recruitment process and pleased to welcome him substantively to the executive team and Trust Board. Daren has already made progress in building up our Sandwell place-based partnership, hosted by the Trust, as evidenced through speedier discharges into community facilities from our hospitals. I am confident that the partnership will go from strength to strength through his leadership.”
Daren said “I am delighted to join the Trust after being so warmly welcomed over the last 6 months. In that time I have met some amazing staff who are immensely dedicated to the delivery of quality care to our patients. I have also had the opportunity to see a diverse range of services that places us in excellent position to lead our Place Based Partnerships into the future. I am really looking forward to continuing to work with you all ”
