Microsoft Teams available to all colleagues from 8 July
July 7, 2021
Following the successful pilot of Microsoft Teams we are deploying it to all email users on Thursday 8 July.
This means that:
- You will be able to access all Microsoft 365 functionality alongside your web browser based email and calendars.
- An icon will appear on all computers giving you access to MS Teams.
- As with your emails, MS Teams will also be available on your Trust mobile phones and from any computer, Trust ones or otherwise.
- Microsoft 365 allows a great degree of collaboration and we will be training teams to use the full functionality, but we encourage you to have a look and use it now.
Simply download the Microsoft Teams Training Guide to get started

WebEx will still be available and when we are familiar as an organisation with Microsoft Teams we will be migrating meetings and calls to that platform along with the majority of other NHS organisations.
Please note when using Microsoft Teams for the first time you will be required to log in via your NHS mail account using the @nhs.net domain and NOT the xCHT.nhs.net which may get auto-populated.
Should you have any further queries on this then please contact IT helpdesk on ext. 4050 or 0121 507 4050 for home workers.
