Glove Awareness Week

This week is glove awareness week – an awareness week about wearing protective gloves and how to look after your skin to prevent infection.

Hands are recognised as a major vehicle for transmission of infection in healthcare settings so it is vital the correct gloves are worn in the right settings.

Gloves must be changed between patient and procedures and hands must always be decontaminated after removal.
