The tissue viability team
Dr Maria Atkinson nominated Dr Halton for producing easy reference guides in the clinical management of children and young people.
“In my role as clinical director, I have disseminated a significant amount of information, including on changes to the way that children and young people are cared for during the pandemic, said Dr Atkinson. “This has included guidance on issues such as children awaiting retrieval by the regional ITU team, and the use new equipment.
“Without prompting, Dr Halton collated all of the relevant information and pulled it together into a single electronic booklet. She even went to the detail of providing pictures of new equipment, such as ventilators, and details of how they work, as easy reference guides.
“This resource has been very well received, and has been invaluable for locums working within the department.”
