Heartbeat: HSBC bring calm and tranquillity to expectant moms

Expectant moms at City Hospital’s antenatal clinic now have a calm, tranquil and relaxing environment to come to when attending antenatal clinic appointments thanks to a team of volunteers from HSBC’s finance team.

Descending on City Hospital, the crack team of painters and decorators who would normally find themselves behind a desk transformed what used to be a clinical, plain and boring waiting area in to a bright, beautiful and inviting space, surrounded by butterflies and flowers.

Seeing the space brought to life, Antenatal Clinic Manager, Bernadette Hickling said, “Many thanks to the volunteers from HSBC and Amanda from Your Trust Charity. The makeover has made such a difference to our patients and staff as our clinical area now looks so inviting and pleasant for pregnant moms to sit in while they wait to be seen.”

Fundraising manager at Your Trust Charity, Amanda Winwood said, “To see such a transformation to this space bring so much joy to the moms to be makes it so worthwhile. A huge thank you to HSBC for their hard work and we hope to continue this work across the Trust.”
