Site office car park closure – 9 and 10 January

 

Please be advised that the Midland Met site car park (former Balfour Beatty car park) will be closed Thursday 9 – Friday 10 January inclusive to allow for essential works to be completed.

During this time, we kindly ask all colleagues to park at the main Midland Met car park, utilising levels 0 and 1, including the car sharing spaces.

Now we’ve been in our new home since October 2024, we’d like to hear your views about our logistics services, specifically what’s working well and where we can improve.

Sandwell laundry store update

 

Due to an unforeseen building maintenance issue, the Sandwell laundry department/sewing room will not be open for the collection of individual staff uniform orders today or tomorrow (Thursday, 9 and Friday, 10 January 2025).

This issue will not affect the distribution of scrubs or patient laundry and we are working to resume normal uniform collection services from next week.

Normal opening hours for staff uniform collections are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 10am-2pm.

SWBH QI Foundation – Free Training Session

 

This opportunity would benefit all Foundation Year 1 and 2 doctors, nurses, and ACPs.

The course will run across 2 afternoons, following which, participants will undertake projects in pairs/small groups, to be presented at the end of the year at our Poster Presentation event.

The sessions will cover topics such as:

  • Quality improvement tools & audit
  • Project planning
  • Writing aim statements
  • Tips for undertaking successful QI

Highlights of the training session:

  • Gain knowledge of QI methodology
  • Learn how to undertake high quality, sustainable QI projects
  • Small group work putting theory into practice
  • Undertake project in pairs/small groups with mentorship
  • Drop-in sessions for advice and guidance
  • Poster presentations at the end of the year
  • Boosts your e-portfolio and provides you with a QI project for the year

Times and dates:

  • Session 1: QI Theory, Wednesday 5 February, 1pm-5pm.
  • Session 2: Project Planning, Thursday 6 March, 1pm-5pm.
  • Virtual check dates to be confirmed
