Opportunities await for nurses and midwives as we will be holding a recruitment event at the Aston Villa Football Club, Holte Suite Trinity Road on Saturday 7 May, 8.30am – 4pm.
The jobs fair at Villa Park will showcase roles across maternity, school nursing, health visiting, gynaecology and paediatrics departments.
Interviews will take place on the day and candidates who are successful will be given an on-the-spot conditional job offer. For those unable to attend in person other arrangements can be made.
Head of Midwifery, Louise Wilde, said: “This is a great opportunity for nursing and midwifery professionals to come and find out what we can offer them in terms of professional development and more about the Trust and its future plans.
“We of course have the opening of Midland Met on the horizon and many of these departments will be based there or have links to the new hospital.
“The Trust also offers a great health and wellbeing package which is very important for our workforce.
“Not only are we looking at experienced nurses and midwives and those wishing to return to practice but there are also opportunities for newly qualified healthcare professionals to join us.
“Roles are available right across the departments and the Trust offers a great deal of flexibility within its shifts as well as many more benefits.”

Can you help support Sandwell’s Asian community?
Five years ago, Bally Barquer, Trust Volunteer set up the Sandwell Asian Mental Health Group (SAMHG) – a place for men and women within the Asian community to come together to talk about mental health and wellbeing.
As the group has grown, Bally is looking to expand the team and is seeking a treasurer and a secretary. She is looking for people who could support projects and activities, administrative tasks including maintaining financial records, but most importantly she would like to meet people who are committed and passionate about helping others within the community. If this sounds like you, and you’d like to get involved, please email samhg171@gmail.com for further details.
The group meets once a week the central library in West Bromwich on Wednesdays between 1-3pm. Five years on, it has grown and evolved into a group for mental health, wellbeing and social interactions. If you need someone to talk to, feel free to drop-in.

Recruitment update – Trac website is down
As you may be aware, SWBt uses a recruitment system called Trac. Unfortunately, there is currently a national system error and therefore the Trac website and job sites are currently down.
This will mean that the recruitment team are unable to process any recruitment activity and you will not be able to raise a vacancy or view your vacancy information on Trac at this time. Trac is aware of the issue and has engineers working on resolving this.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
