Star Awards 2020 – Voting is now open
This years’ Star Awards will once again look to recognise those colleagues who go above and beyond the call of duty to help us provide great care and support to our patients.
This year we need your help in four of our colleague voted for categories which are:
- Employee of the Year
- Clinical Team of the Year (adults)
- Clinical Team of the Year (children’s)
- Non-clinical team of the Year
Voting will stay open through to Friday 18 September. Please take the time to think about who has gone the extra mile and submit your votes.
Remember, you can only vote once for each category so make your vote count.

Maths and English courses available for colleagues
This year Halesowen College we will be offering an online provision of Maths and English using the online platform Century.
To enrol students must complete the Data Collection at Enrolment Form 2020 and return it to vvincent@halesowen.ac.uk by Monday 7 September.
Note: Any student who wishes to complete their Maths or English will need access to a computer, tablet or smartphone as well as internet access.

Star of the Week – Paulette Duzan
Our Star of the Week this week goes to Paulette Duzan, team leader in our health visiting service.
Paulette has been nominated by several of her colleagues for the support she has given them during the pandemic. She has set up daily meeting with colleagues in the Oldbury team to enable colleagues working from home and shielding to remain connected to the team.
She is an example of kindness and consideration for others sets a brilliant example and makes her a deserving of this prestigious award.

From today (Tuesday 1 September) the ordering codes for the following items will change:

Note: VJT169 Clinell wipes are now available for use on patients skin eg pre-injection and VJT638 Clinell wipes can continue to be used for devices. Materially managed wards will automatically start receiving VJT169 skin wipes.
