Blood culture packs now available
Blood culture packs now are now available if you take blood cultures in your area.
The blood culture packs have been developed to promote the use of an aseptic non-touch technique (ANTT) during sampling, to minimise the risk of contaminating the blood culture sample.
Blood culture’s that become contaminated can falsely increase the Trust’s infection rates including MRSA, for which we have a zero tolerance approach to.
The blood culture packs are ordered through Oracle Cloud with supplier being Rochelle.
Blood culture pack order codes are:
- Blood Culture Pack 23g RMT9977
