Chief Executive’s Message – Friday 15 December 2017

Elaine Newell, Chief Nurse – Toby Lewis is away

Hopefully by now you have all thawed out and recovered from the snowy weather earlier in the week that made getting to work and being at work so much more difficult than normal.

It came as no surprise to me that we had a great team effort right across the Trust in dealing with the impact of the snow.  One of the characteristics of our Trust is the willingness of you all  to go above and beyond the call of duty and I have been touched this week by many stories of people who went to extraordinary lengths to keep the majority of our services running as normally as possible.

Please tell us why you haven’t had your flu jab

It is important for occupational health to understand why some colleagues have declined a flu vaccination this year.

If you fall into this category, please give five minutes of your time for us to understand the reasons behind your decision. Please click on the link below and complete the short survey entitled ‘Have you had your flu jab?’

https://connect2.swbh.nhs.uk/od/occupational-health-and-wellbeing-service/flu/

You can submit this information anonymously but the more information you provide, the more helpful it will be for occupational health in trying to understand why colleagues decline to have the flu vaccination.

It is important that no clinical waste goes into the general waste stream.
